GRAFTON - TAYLOR COUNTY - WEST  VIRGINIA

Though Grafton never had an organized Jewish Community, there were a number of prominent Jewish families in town and several Jewish family owned retail businesses. Grafton is the site of two National Cemeteries. In the older Grafton National Cemetery are three known Jewish burials. See photographs below. It is not known whether or not they were from the area. Most of the Jewish population was gone by the late 1950's. Please watch this space for more information to come.
